I’m trying to hire some equipment and I’ve been asked if it’s for dry hire or wet hire but what does that mean?
These terms are used a lot and unless you understand the difference you maybe in for a shock when the day arrives for your event. Surprisingly they have nothing to do with the weather but refer to different types of hire and whether you will pick the equipment up from your chosen hire company and return it at the end of the hire period (dry hire) or if the hire company will deliver the equipment, set it up, run your event and take the equipment away at the end (wet hire).
Just to confuse matters slightly we offer a third option, dry hire delivered, because we understand that a lot of our customers have the skills and expertise to set up the equipment they have hired and operate it but they don’t have easy access to suitable vehicles to transport it from the hire company to their venue.
