Nick

HIRE MANAGER

What’s a typical day in your current role at TSS?

Not sure there has ever been a typical day in the events industry that’s why we all love it!

A typical office day would be getting to the office, job 1 is always get the kettle on, then check on the email inbox to see if we need to make any changes to the day’s plans. Then a quick check-in with the rest of the hire team to ensure they all know what we are doing for the day and week. Then settle down to do designs and quotes for upcoming events,

After a quick lunch follow up on any client enquiries, and make sure all the hires for the next few days are ready to go.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

The best part of my job is seeing the final result of all the team’s hard work, delivering outstanding events, and exceeding clients’ expectations.

What did you do before joining TSS? Why/how did you get into the industry?

Before TSS I worked at Limelight Presentation Systems for 20 year in a similar role. I started in the industry at school, heading up the tech department for the drama department, before moving on to the university and joining TSC at Sheffield University, after that I was recruited to Limelight as a follow spot operator and never left!

What are your favourite/most interesting/most unusual gigs/jobs you’ve done in the past?
