As the year draws to a close, we’re excited to share some major news about TSS! After nearly 14 years of calling Sherburn in Elmet and Church Fenton home, we’re moving to a new location: Unit 12, Cochranes Shipyard, Selby YO8 8AP. This move marks the start of an exciting new chapter for us, while still keeping us close to the heart of our loyal customer base.

Key Dates

Friday 20th December: We will close for Christmas at 5pm, marking the end of our time in Sherburn*

Monday 6th January: We will reopen at 9am from our new home in Selby!

*If you have a hire over this period, our team will be in touch shortly with any specific arrangements.

A look back at our journey

Our story began in 2003, in a small garage in York, where Dan Dawson founded TSS armed with a first-class honours degree in Live Performance Technology. Over the years, our team grew, our hire fleet expanded, and we made a series of moves to accommodate our growth.

From the humble beginnings in a rented back office outside York to taking over entire units, and eventually settling in Sherburn in Elmet in 2010, we’ve always prioritised providing the best possible service for our clients. In 2015, we moved into purpose-built offices and warehousing, marking a new phase of innovation and development.

It’s been an incredible journey filled with milestones, from growing our team to introducing revolutionary products and even venturing onto the global stage.

Why the move to Selby?

With growth comes the need for change, and moving to Selby is about positioning ourselves for the future. Our new premises at the Cochrane Shipyard offer us increased space, and room to expand our services. But don’t worry—we’re just a short 15-minute drive from where we’ve been based. We’re staying close to our roots and will continue to provide the same exceptional service you’ve come to expect.

Convenience at the heart our move

Our new Selby location is not only great for us, but it’s also extremely helpful for our customers. Here’s why:

• Close to the A63, providing a direct link to Leeds and the wider Yorkshire area.
• Just a short drive from the M62, offering excellent connectivity to Hull, Manchester, and beyond.
• Within easy reach of the A1(M) and M1, giving us access to the national motorway network.
